Job Summary:

The Restoration Superintendent is responsible for leading daily field operations on masonry and concrete restoration projects, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with RAM Construction Services’ quality standards. As the primary on-site leader, this role oversees field crews, coordinates with Project Managers, and maintains strong communication with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Key responsibilities include managing project schedules, enforcing Safety Without Compromise, maintaining site organization, overseeing material and equipment needs, and ensuring all required inspections and approvals are completed on time. The Superintendent plays a critical role in upholding RAM’s commitment to craftsmanship, accountability, and collaborative problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations on restoration job sites, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to develop, maintain, and execute detailed project schedules.
  • Supervise field crews (25–75 team members) and subcontractors across multiple projects, ensuring adherence to scope, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Recruit, train, and manage construction personnel while upholding RAM’s reputation for high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and lead safety meetings to reinforce a culture of safety.
  • Monitor project progress against schedule and cost objectives, including labor, materials, and equipment, while maintaining strict quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national codes, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes promptly and professionally to minimize delays and claims.
  • Enforce company policies and RAM’s core values on every job site.
  • Administer disciplinary or corrective actions fairly and professionally.
  • Track workforce performance, coordinate tasks to maintain productivity, and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Verify that all work meets contract specifications and quality standards before project completion.

Education Required:

This position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of field experience in restoration, masonry, concrete repair, or building envelope work; or 10+ years in commercial construction
  • Proven experience supervising field crews on commercial or industrial restoration projects.
  • Hands‑on background in masonry repairs, tuckpointing, waterproofing, concrete patching, coatings, and façade restoration.
  • Experience coordinating with specialty contractors and self-performing contractors strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating equipment, material deliveries, and project schedules.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Knowledge of restoration methods, including:- Brick and block repair- Concrete restoration and repair techniques- Waterproofing systems- Sealants, coatings, and surface prep- Flashings, membranes, and building envelope components
  • Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and technical details for masonry and concrete projects
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, jobsite compliance, and RAM's Safety Without Compromise expectations
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing, productivity rates, and material requirements specific to restoration work
  • Understanding of equipment operations, including lifts, scaffolding, and shoring systems used in masonry/concrete restoration

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to identify and resolve job-site issues proactively.
  • Competence in performing daily reports, documenting work performed, tracking hours, and communicating progress.
  • Ability to read blueprints, elevations, structural details, and specifications.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail related to quality and craftsmanship.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite that supports RAM’s core values.
  • Proficiency with mobile technology for daily reporting, safety documentation, and site photos.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience specifically in building façade restoration or historic masonry repair.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30, Scaffold User/Builder, or manufacturer‑specific product training.
  • Experience with RAM‑style self‑perform work across multiple trades.

Work Environment:

As a RAM Superintendent, the employee will be subject to various work environments. Work environments may include, but are not limited to, the following: seasonal temperatures, high or low spaces, loud and frequent noise, standing/walking for up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, and areas near traffic.

 Travel:  

  • This position requires regular travel to surrounding job sites and RAM Construction Services office locations.
  • Overnight stays may be necessary based on project needs.
  • Per diem compensation will be provided for travel-related expenses and overnight accommodations, as applicable.
