Gallatin Operational Solutions, LLC (Gallatin) is recruiting for a Part Time Operations Manager to operate and support multiple water and wastewater treatment systems in Northern New Mexico.  Gallatin supports private and public utility and tribal entities to meet community needs by providing specialized technical services to operate water and wastewater systems. Gallatin brings extensive experience to the water and wastewater operations industry, having provided specialized services and assistance to small water and wastewater systems and tribal entities. After all, we are members of the communities we help.

SUMMARY:

Operations Manager will coordinate and oversee water and wastewater treatment system operations including all equipment, instrumentation, laboratory analysis and safety.  The Operator will prepare regular documentation of site visits and tasks, and monthly and quarterly compliance reports to the Client and/or Permitting Agency as required by the permit; coordinate purchase of chemicals and supplies for system operation; and identify and coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.  Operator will collect compliance samples and deliver them to certified laboratory.  As needed, Operator may assist in the training of other staff, and development and implementation of capital improvements to the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular site visits to project sites to observe operation of system and equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and production, and process controls for system optimization.
  • Log any maintenance needs and report to Client.
  • Other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • NM Water/Wastewater Operator IV Certification required.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License Class A or Class B CDL with no major infractions in the past 3 years.
  • Able to pass background and drug test.
