Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting overall business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage and optimize supply chain processes, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and sales teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and operational execution.
- Oversee sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods.
- Monitor logistics performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and food safety standards.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost reduction, material planning, and supply chain integration.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to supply chain teams.
- Collaborate with finance, quality assurance, and operations teams to optimize supply chain performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in supply chain/logistics management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Food manufacturing experience must have — specifically meat manufacturing background.
- Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and procurement best practices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive operational improvements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
