Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution to ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting overall business growth.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Manage and optimize supply chain processes, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and sales teams to align production schedules with demand forecasts.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and operational execution.
  • Oversee sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods.
  • Monitor logistics performance metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and food safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost reduction, material planning, and supply chain integration.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to supply chain teams.
  • Collaborate with finance, quality assurance, and operations teams to optimize supply chain performance.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in supply chain/logistics management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Food manufacturing experience must have — specifically meat manufacturing background.
  • Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and procurement best practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
