ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Quality Control Specialist to join our Manufacturing team and ensure the highest standards of quality in our electrical systems and products. The Electrical Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes related to the building of electrical products and components. This role involves inspecting, documenting, and evaluating electrical products to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This is a Union position with the IBEW Local 14.

  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on electrical systems and components to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.
  • Analyze products and processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with design, ACP and production teams to address quality issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inspections, product condition, and quality assurance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on quality control processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality.
  • Alert the production team if the product needs to be re-built or sent back to the production line for re-work
  • Work closely with Production Managers and Logistics making sure the best quality product is approved and delivered to site for install.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with a pay range of $17.72 to $44.29 per hour, as negotiated under the terms of the agreement. All pay rates, benefits, and employment terms are determined and administered by the union.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or 5-10 years of Electrical Construction experience.
  • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance in the electrical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and industry standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This job operates in a manufacturing environment and is exposed to weather conditions. 
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per facility requirements, including but not limited to, hard toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves and, high visibility vest.
  • This role occasionally uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines.
  • Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch.
  • This position may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
