THE POSITION

Canyon State Electric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Special Systems to join our team. This pivotal role focuses on leading our Special Systems division, particularly specializing in fire detection and signaling systems. The Director will be responsible for building and maintaining a proficient team dedicated to securing and executing both quality and profitable projects that meet our high standards of customer satisfaction and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Build and maintain a skilled team capable of executing projects with a high degree of quality and profitability.

· Ensure that the team is well-managed, and members are held accountable for their responsibilities.

· Oversee the entire project management process, including planning, execution, and delivery to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

· Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction by ensuring that all projects meet or exceed client expectations.

· Address and resolve any customer issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

· Drive the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals.

· Ensure that sales targets are met and strive to exceed them.

· Focus on in-call add-on sales to optimize profitability.

· Manage manpower loading to achieve 80% utilization rate, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing downtime.

· Ensure that all operations are compliant with relevant codes and regulations.

· Oversee all aspects of system installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, commissioning, and code compliance review.

· Ensure that all operations adhere to industry standards and best practices.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

· NICET Level IV certification

· At least 10 years of experience in fire detection and signaling systems, including

· Minimum of two years in a senior project management role overseeing fire alarm systems projects.

· Technical business

· Roles in installation

· Maintenance, inspection, testing, and commissioning

· Technical system estimating and sales

· Plan preparation and code compliance review

· Proven ability to lead, manage, and retain a technical team, with a strong focus on accountability and team performance.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with clients.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and resolve issues swiftly.
